Sunday, May 17, 8PM EDT: I’m on #scriptchat

This Sunday at 8PM EDT (U.S.), I will be the guest on the weekly #scriptchat conversation. What is #scriptchat? Go here to find out. Suffice to say it is one of the most vibrant communities in the online screenwriting world.

Sunday’s Topic: Keys to Developing Characters. For 1 hour, I will be tweeting on the subject and answering questions. As you may know, characters are near and dear to my virtual — and real — heart. My mantra: Start with characters. End with characters. Find the story in-between. So I look forward to digging into the world of character development and how that directly relates to everything in the story-crafting process.

These #scriptchat sessions are typically lively ones with dozens of writers participating from around the world, so I encourage you to join in the conversation.

For details how to do that, go here.

To prime the pump, let me ask a few questions:

* How do you go about developing characters?

* What are some of the key issues you confront when developing characters?

* What questions would you want me to tackle in the #scriptchat conversation?

If I get some good questions here, I’ll answer them on Sunday.

Those of you who follow my Twitter feed (@GoIntoTheStory) — and if you’re not, why not?!?! — you may want to mute me for the hour between 8–9PM EDT on Sunday. I will be dropping a lot of Tweets then.

I look forward to interfacing with those of you who can make the #scriptchat session on Sunday!
