The 2015 Black List arrives tomorrow!

The 2015 Black List Arrives Tomorrow, Brought to You by Special Guests!

It’s the most wonderful time of the year: time for another annual Black List release!

We will begin announcing the scripts on the 2015 Black List — in random order, one per minute -tomorrow morning (December 14) at 9AM PST via our Twitter account (@theblcklst) and our Youtube channel. We’ve recruited some incredible folks — Tessa Thompson, Graham Moore, Christopher Miller and Phil Lord, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Ryan Coogler, Rian Johnson, and Catherine Hardwicke among them — to help us celebrate the fantastic writers who have made this year’s list. The complete, ordered list will be available at http://www.blcklst.com after we’ve tweeted the announcement of each script.

Three of the last seven Academy Awards for Best Picture went to scripts featured on previous Black Lists (SLUMDOG MILLIONAIRE, THE KING’S SPEECH, ARGO). Eight of the last sixteen screenwriting Oscars were featured on previous Black Lists as well (JUNO, SLUMDOG MILLIONAIRE, THE KING’S SPEECH, THE SOCIAL NETWORK, THE DESCENDANTS, DJANGO UNCHAINED, ARGO, and THE IMITATION GAME). Among this year’s awards season contenders previously featured on the list in some form include THE REVENANT, SPOTLIGHT and THE END OF THE TOUR.
