The new Knight Rider debuts tonight
So back in 1998, I was at a welcoming party for new parents of kids at Wildwood School, where our oldest son was a student. I got to talking with one of the parents, found out he was a fellow screenwriter. We started swapping info and I mentioned that I had co-written K-9. And he said, “Really? I’m writing the sequel.”
That’s how I met Gary Scott Thompson.
Gary has gone on to do extremely well for himself with movie credits including The Fast and the Furious (2001) and creating / exec producing the TV series “Las Vegas”.
And tonight, his new NBC series debuts, a revival of “Knight Rider”.
Here’s an interview with Gary on the eve of the show’s launch.
