Video: “Plain Jane”

A table reading of feature length screenplay written by Keely Wise.

Here at the DePaul School of Cinematic Arts, we are proud of one of our recent MFA students: Keely Lewis Wise. Her thesis script “Plain Jane” was featured on the Black List website:

Then independent movie producer Cassian Elwes (Blue Valentine, Lawless, Dallas Buyers Club) — in association with the Black List — selected Keely to be one of two ‘fellows’ at the 2017 Sundance Film Festival.

Based off that, Keely trekked from her home in Chicago for a series of meetings in L.A. which resulted in her signing with a manager.

And now this:

Via Popcorn Talk, Keely got to experience a table read of “Plain Jane” by a group of professional actors, the event captured on video on YouTube.

Hopefully this is the beginning of a long, productive career for Keeley!
