Video: Why the “Firefly” crew were the bad guys
I still don’t forgive Fox for canceling “Firefly,” so whenever something related to the late, lamented TV series crosses my path, I promote the hell out of it just to rub virtual salt into self-inflicted wounds of those godless TV execs whose dumb decision crushed such a wonderful story universe and set of characters. The American Civil War inspired Joss Whedon to create “Firefly”?!?! I thought it was simply taking two of my favorite childhood TV series — Star Trek and The Wild, Wild West — and mashing them together.
