Wanted: 13 Daily Dialogue themes!

It’s interesting how the Daily Dialogue has evolved over time. You can go here and see the very first one, actually the second GITS post dated May 16, 2008. Compare it to today’s post and you will note these differences:

There’s another big difference. For the first couple of years, I generated the Daily Dialogue posts on my own. Then members of the GITS community started suggesting themes and that has evolved into the process we use today: You suggest themes, I schedule them on a weekly basis, you come up with recommendations, and I post them.

That seems to work rather nicely.

So with that history lesson as a frame, it’s time to open things up for our next round of DDTs! Last time we ended up with something like 10 of them. I think we should shoot to come up with enough themes to take us through the end of 2012 which by my count is 13. Do you think we can do that?

Remember: The theme has to be broad enough whereby we can come up with 7 movie moments. Also there is an educational component to Daily Dialogue so whatever suggestions you make, think about them like a writer: What could be an interesting theme which could provide insight into this part of the craft.

So the challenge: Generate 13 Daily Dialogue themes! We’re talking quality themes, preferably ones we haven’t used before or at least in a long time. Can you do it? I believe in you.
