What are your favorite DVDs for special features?

I’m working on The Incredibles Scene-by-Scene, hoping to get it to you by end of week…

While working on this breakdown, it reminded me of the “special features” that were included on The Incredibles DVD.

Often the DVD special features are a treasure trove of gems from the upper echelon in the business. I look at the “making-of,” “behind the scenes,” and “roundtable” features as mini-craft classes in: the process of inspiration, research, storytelling, the importance of feedback, collaboration, etc.

These often overlooked gems (aka, insider info) falls nicely into your mantra to: Watch Movies [and their special features]. Read Scripts. Write Pages.

I’ve posted about this in the past, but Traci serves up a good reminder that one way to watch movies is to dig into the behind the scenes extras featured on DVDs. For example, here is one of the bonus tracks from The Incredibles DVD:
