Writing Question: What is the hardest act to write?
What is the hardest act for you to write: Act One, Act Two, or Act Three?
Act One is primarily about establishing the primary characters, setting up the plot, and putting it into motion.
Act Two is twists and turns, complications and roadblocks, up and downs, interweaving subplots, and about 60 pages to boot.
Act Three is tying everything up with a big and hopefully satisfying Final Struggle, Resolution, and Denouement.
Which one gives you the most trouble?
UPDATE: So the consensus seems to be the second act — and particularly the last half of the second act (2B) — is the most difficult to write. I concur. Next question: Why is Act 2 so hard?
