Today’s Writing Quote
“It’s not until
you really throw your character into the story
that you can genuinely understand
who they are.”

UPDATE: To those of you who find yourself pondering why the Zero Draft approach embraces a writing scamper instead of a writing sprint, Trish Curtin has the answer for you:
The scamper subtext: Let’s take off the pressure and try to have some fun with the writing. We know a zero draft is not going to be perfect, we know we’re going to have to do multiple rewrites, so with this initial pass at the material why not give ourselves the freedom to explore it, check out possibilities, and dare I say enjoy the process?
Hence writing scamper. And thanks to Trish, we have a graphic to remind us why. For that, Trish is the recipient of today’s Marion Award!
For your chance to win the Marion Award, one given away each day during the Challenge, post something inspiring, here on the blog, via Twitter, or the Facebook group.
Congratulations, Trish!
