Today’s Writing Quote
“I don’t believe in rules for writing screenplays.
What that gives you is formula,
and the result will be formulaic.”
— Christopher Hampton
Today’s Inspirational Video
An evening with Pat Conroy, the recently deceased author of such acclaimed novels as “The Great Santini” and “The Prince of Tides”.

People participating in the Zero Draft Thirty 2016 Spring Challenge have been hosting writing scampers and will continue around the clock for 24 hours. We are tweeting invitations. In the Facebook group, we are posting invitations.
We did this last Saturday and it was a huge success.
YOU ARE INVITED TO JOIN IN!
Yes, we are doing this on a SATURDAY. That is the weekend. But for writers, a weekend is work-end. And now you’ve got company. Pick an hour. Join a writing scamper with the knowledge other writers around the globe are digging down and pounding out pages with you.
It’s the second ever Scamper-A-Thon! I suspect we’ll be doing one each week during the ZDT Challenge!
Thanks to each of the 23 other Zeronauts, Outlaws, and Word Warriors to take on the task of hosting a 1-hour writing scamper tonight and tomorrow.
YOU GUYS AND GALS ROCK!!!
Check back later for the winner of today’s Trumbo Award!
Onward!
UPDATE: This is great!
This is so much in the spirit of the Zero Draft: If you commit to doing it, then do it — day after day, just pounding out pages — you will have the satisfaction of typing FADE OUT and be able to say, “I did it!
