UPDATE: What would any Zero Draft Thirty Challenge be without a reference to Joseph Campbell and the Hero’s Journey!
That’s actually a good name for an alt-rock band.

There’s your Three Act Structure: Separation. Initiation. Return. And per Campbell, the whole POINT of the Hero’s Journey is the central character’s personal transformation. Which means that at some level, the events of the plot SUPPORT the psychological journey of the Protagonist.
