2010 WGA Awards video highlights

Hosted by writer-performer-producer Seth MacFarlane (Family Guy), the West Coast version of the 2010 Writers Guild Awards took place this Saturday, February 20, at the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza Hotel in Los Angeles.
The show featured presentations by many writers, actors, and directors that have worked together to make movies and TV shows so memorable including MacFarlane & Mila Kunis (Family Guy), Judd Apatow & Jason Segel (Knocked Up), Ali LeRoi (Everybody Hates Chris) & WGA nominee Chris Rock (Good Hair) and House creator David Shore & star Hugh Laurie.
Billy Crystal presented the Laurel Award for Screen to Barry Levinson (Avalon, Diner), while Jason Alexander presented the Paddy Chayefsky Laurel Award for Television to Larry David (Curb Your Enthusiasm, Seinfeld). Oscar-nominated actor Morgan Freeman presented South African-born screenwriter Anthony Peckham with the Paul Selvin Award for his work on Invictus.
Winners included The Hurt Locker’s Mark Boal for Original Screenplay and Up in the Air’s Sheldon Turner and Jason Reitman for Adapted Screenplay. Mad Men won for Drama Series and 30 Rock took home the trophy for Comedy Series.
