95 movie sequels currently in the works
I’ve already noted there are 27 sequels slated to come out this year, a record. Turns out there’s more where those came from. 95 of them to be exact, at least according to Den of Geek. Here is a list just for movies starting with the letters A, B, and C:

Given the startling success of Fast Five, an opening weekend of $86M — largest Universal Pics movie opening ever, largest April movie opening ever — and the low-risk, high-profit pattern sequels have demonstrated the last several years, hard to blame the studios.
In fact, Fast Five has broken some conventional wisdom about sequels. I’ll post about that next.
