Another GITS idea
Last week I made a proposal: To do a weekly script reading and analysis series. The response was quite favorable. I will post details on that new series tomorrow. But today another idea.
I consider us to be a community, a group of people engaged in an ongoing discussion about things we care about: screenwriting, TV writing, writing in general, movies, television, Hollywood business trends, and so on.
As you know, every other month or so, I do something called Reader Questions. If you go here, you will see over 200 of those Q&A’s.
From the amount of comments those conversations generate as well as email feedback I receive, it appears GITS readers like that type of interaction.
And so it occurred to me: What if I could do something like that live? What if every other week, I scheduled a live-blogging event? At a pre-appointed time, I would show up on the blog, post something inviting your questions and comments, then for one hour engage in a live conversation about The Biz?
I would switch the time of day from event to event to fit a variety of schedules, either work or geography related.
The idea is simply to have a live real-time conversation.
Would anyone be interested in participating in that? Would you find it beneficial to be able to ‘talk’ with me and others in the GITS community real-time? What do you think about a bi-weekly GITS interactive live-blogging event?
