“Buddy Holly Is Alive and Well on Ganymede”

I normally don’t report on book sales, but this is such an inspired / unusual story concept, I thought it worth noting. From the Daily Variety:

An average geek’s uneventful life changes when Buddy Holly turns up on every TV channel and declares that the geek is the only one who understands why this is happening — which causes him to be pursued by a mob of disguised aliens.

Think on that story conceit: Buddy Holly appears on your TV, a sort of herald wisdom character. What a fun and whimsical idea.

The book’s author’s name is Bradley Denton, a science fiction writer. “Buddy Holly” was published in 1991.
