[Saying grace at Thanksgiving]
Wendy Hood: Dear Lord, thank you for this Thanksgiving holiday. And for all the material possessions we have and enjoy. And for letting us white people kill all the Indians and steal their tribal lands. And stuff ourselves like pigs, even though children in Asia are being napalmed.
Ben Hood: Jesus! Enough, alright? Paul… roll?

 — Wendy (Christina Ricci), Ben (Kevin Kline), The Ice Storm (1997), screenplay by James Schamus

The Daily Dialogue theme this week is Thanksgiving.

Trivia: When asked to say grace, Christina Ricci goes into a tirade about the cruelty that is celebrated as Thanksgiving. She makes a similar speech when Wednesday, her character in Addams Family Values (1993), hijacks the camp Thanksgiving pageant. Both movies star Ricci and David Krumholtz.
