Daily Dialogue theme for next week: Bragging!

Once again, the stellar group of folks at GITS who are as much into dialogue as I am came through with an outstanding week of Daily Dialogues. And this one was not easy: Originals and remakes as suggested by saint716. But succeed you did, so I tip my virtual hat to you!

Time to movie on and this week, the topic, as suggested by churnage, is bragging!

Why do I have a feeling this week’s selections will be dominated by male characters? Is it some sort of testosterone thing that leads guys to brag? All the images of movie braggers that leap into my mind are males. But I’m sure there are women braggarts as well. It will be interesting to see what we all come up with.

The usual drill:

* Copy/paste dialogue from IMDB Quotes or some other transcript source.

* Copy/paste the URL of an accompanying video from MovieClips or YouTube.

I’d also like to ask you to think about why the dialogue is notable. Is there anything about the dialogue which provides some takeaway re screenwriting. And if there are changes to the dialogue, why do you think those changes were made?
