Daily Dialogue theme for next week: First date

After a week’s worth of revelations [thanks to Alexander Gorelik for the suggestion], next week the theme is First Date!

It’s an interesting suggestion by churnage, one I thought would be pretty easy to fill out, but then when I started to dredge through my movie memories, I changed my opinion: This could be a challenge to come up with seven good examples. But worth the effort, I think. We generally associate both excitement and awkwardness with first dates. Let’s see what dialogue lessons we can find that may inspire our own writing.

The usual drill:

* Copy/paste dialogue from IMDB Quotes or some other transcript source.

* Copy/paste the URL of an accompanying video from MovieClips or YouTube.

The following week we have one more theme in this cycle:

May 14-May 20: Non-verbal ‘dialogue’ [Liz Swan]

But for now, let’s see what we can come up with in the way of first dates.
