Daily Dialogue theme for next week: Pity party
After a week of lies [thanks to a suggestion by BilleJeanVK], next week we visit with characters who are confronting some harsh truths… or at least they think so. Theme: Pity party!

Suggested by Teddy Pasternak, we are looking for memorable movie moments that feature a character or characters who are really feeling sorry for themselves. The more over-the-top, the better. Comedies, dramas, thriller, let’s see if we can get a nice cross-section of genres to see how each scene gets treated.
The usual drill:
* Copy/paste dialogue from IMDB Quotes or some other transcript source.
* Copy/paste the URL of an accompanying video from MovieClips or YouTube.
I’d also like to ask you to think about why the dialogue is notable. Is there anything about the dialogue which provides some takeaway re screenwriting.
The next round of Daily Dialogue themes with the person who made the suggestion:
June 11 — June 17: Originals and remakes [saint716]
June 18 — June 24: Bragging [churnage]
June 25 — July 1: The Herald’s Call [JasperLamarCrab]
See you in comments with your suggestions for memorable movie moments featuring a pity party!
