Daily Dialogue theme for next week: Protagonist-Nemesis showdowns
Okay, next week we’re going to run with the theme of Protagonist-Nemesis showdowns! It was suggested by Jonathan and we already have one great example from Sean Z P Harris: The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly.

What can be interesting with this theme is in a classic Protagonist-Nemesis confrontation movie, everything builds up to what I call the Final Struggle (Act Three). While a story may sometimes opt out of any sort of dialogue exchange in this sequence, more than likely there will be a capstone conversation between the two (or more) characters. It makes sense. The dialogue can provide a final shade of meaning on their story-long confrontation. It can even reveal hidden truths (the movie Se7en comes to mind). But mostly it can be part of a satisfying resolution to the P-N battle.
So what examples of notable Protagonist-Nemesis showdown dialogue spring to your mind? Please post your suggestions in comments. As usual, if you can copy/paste the actual text from the movie’s IMDB page (in Quotes), great. If you want to really help out a busy blogger, you can try to source the relevant video clip in YouTube, preferably one that can be embedded.
Okay, a week’s worth of Protagonist-Nemesis showdown dialogue! Your suggestions wanted!
