GITS Meet-Up: LA?

Longtime GITS reader and confidante Nate Winslow (@nate_winslow) and I were talking the other day. He’s moved to L.A. to pursue his ambition of becoming a movie producer. Turns out he’s there all of 2 weeks and finds himself living in a Venice apartment with this as his view:

Sick, right? But that’s the type of thing that can happen in L.A.. People meet people, then voila! Suddenly life is a beach.

With that in mind, Nate and I got to talking and came up with a whimsical idea: What about a GITS Meet-Up in Los Angeles?

I’ve asked Nate and Annika Wood to be the official Meet-Up Meisters and coordinate all the details on the Left Coast. The main thing is it could be a great opportunity for those of you living in SoCal who frequent this blog to meet, connect, network, eat, drink, and be happy. Oh, and create meaningful professional relationships which translate into you taking over a major movie studio within the next decade.

And who knows? Maybe we do Meet-Ups elsewhere. The Bay Area. NYC. London. If you have suggestions in this regard, please post something in Comments.

Oh, and anybody who could make it to Chapel Hill, let me know. Happy to meet up with local GITS readers.
