GITS Script Reading & Analysis: What should the next script be?

19. That’s how many scripts we have read and analyzed in this ongoing GITS series. You can go here for links to every one of them from our most recent one (500) Days of Summer to the first one we did Gladiator back in September 2011.

I have two suggestions for the next one: Drive [screenplay by Hossein Amini, based on the book by James Sallis] or something from the Coen brothers a la Fargo or No Country for Old Men.

In the old days, it would have been pretty easy to do this type of thing, however since the crackdown on scripts online, the first issue we have to deal with is the script available?

I have not been able to find Drive online nor Fargo. SimplyScripts has two drafts of No Country for Old Men.

So I put out this information for you to chew on. If you can find Drive or Fargo online, we could do one of those. If not, how about No Country?

By the way, we can schedule another Tweet-Cast as well where we set a time, watch the movie together and comment live on Twitter. We’ve done that three times and it’s been a lot of fun as well as great analysis.

So what say ye, GITS readers?

If you’re not reading scripts, you’re not learning the craft!
