Harry Potter smashes records

Big box office for HP:

Harry Potter has returned with some princely returns at the box office. The new big-screen adventure “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince” took in $79.5 million domestically over opening weekend and $159.7 million since debuting last Wednesday.

Interesting that the movie is running about $20M ahead of the previous installment Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. Suggests that interest in the HP franchise is growing, an excellent sign for the next two (and final) movies, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part I (2010) and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part II (2011).
