Hollywood Tales

“Writers are the weak link in filmmaking right now. The scripts that sell for the most money usually have titles like Hell-bent and Back, Texas Lead and Gold, The Rest of Daniel. They’re high-concept and half-baked. I don’t hear writers say anymore, ‘I love this idea; I’m on fire with this idea.’ Instead you hear, ‘I’m gonna write this script in two weeks and sell it for a million-five. It’s a concept: Arnold Schwarzenegger as a woman — and she’s a cop.”
