Movie trailer: “Black Swan”
First trailer for Aronofsky’s newest film Black Swan:
Plot synopsis: “A thriller that hones in on the relationship between a veteran ballet dancer and a rival.” In other words, straight out of “The [blank] from hell” movie story type.
And yet, it looks fantastic, doesn’t it? Proof once again that using a formula does not necessarily mean a story has to be formulaic.
Opens in the U.S. on December 1, 2010.
UPDATE: Speaking of “The [blank] from Hell” story type, you’ve got Fatal Attraction (The Mistress from Hell) and The Hand That Rocked the Cradle (The Nanny from Hell). What are some other great examples of “The [blank] from Hell” sub-genre?
