Movie Trailer: “Knights of Badassdom”
Awright, all you LARPers. Fresh from Comic-Con. This movie trailer is just for you:
Not sure about this one. The concept has already been mined in a similar but different way by the excellent Galaxy Quest and there’s a joke in the trailer straight out of the Monty Python “Spanish Inquisition” bit. I mean, if you can’t make it through a trailer without a blatant… uh… ‘homage’… to an extremely well-known sketch, does that bode well for the rest of the film?
But it’s a nice group of actors including Summer Glau from the late, lamented “Firefly,” Steve Zahn who provides wonderful humor and heart to “Treme,” and Peter Dinklage from “Game of Thrones,” but for me always tied to the excellent movie The Station Agent. And we are talking about the highest of high-concepts:
Live-action role players conjure up a demon from hell by mistake and must deal with the consequences.
Screenplay by Matt Wall and Kevin Dreyfuss.
Release date: N/A.
