Movies You Made: 3 Videos Summarizing Art & Literature

I’m always happy to promote the creative efforts of GITS readers especially when they contribute to our collective educational edification. So when Max Lance sent me the link to his site which hosts three short videos created by Max and his brother, it was a no-brainer for a GITS post. 

“1984 Summary”: 1984 is a completely inaccurate depiction of the year 1984. Ditch CliffsNotes, watch this three-minute summary of the book.

“Hamlet”: William Shakespeare’s “Hamlet” in 4 minutes.

“Art History Summary”: Art history in 4 minutes.

There. Don’t you feel smarter? Okay, perhaps not. But I trust you had several good laughs as a result of these funny videos. Pass them along to your friends.

In one of his emails, Max, who is a film student at USC, mentioned this:

I first heard about the blog through a class I took last year about creating web series that Dave Goetsch taught (I ended up making this project: http://vimeo.com/channels/74523#8103918). He’s an EP over at Big Bang Theory, really awesome teacher. He gave out a list of blogs everyone should follow, so hope it’s good to know you made a reading list of sorts.

“Big Bang Theory”! In my humble opinion, the best multi-camera sit-com currently on TV. Now all I need to hear is that the writers of “Modern Family” follow GITS and I can die a happy man!
