Movies You Made: “Saved by the Belding” by Scott & Matt Hamilton

Here is a short film my brother and I directed recently called “Saved By The Belding” and stars some old cast members from “Saved By The Bell”.
My brother and I worked for the past year and a half making connections in Los Angeles from Austin, TX. We finally flew out there with a group of friends last summer and shot the movie of the course of three days. So far it has been featured on the front page on Dailymotion.com and has been highly praised by former SNL cast member, Horatio Sanz. The film stars Dennis Haskins (Saved By The Bell) and Ed Blatchford (Last Of The Mohicans).
You talk a lot about this on your site but I think this shows a good example of how you don’t how to live in Los Angeles but just have the right connections. Hope you and everyone else enjoys it. Any former “Saved By The Bell” fan will love it.

The Hamilton Brothers, Scott and Matt, are the co-leaders of the Austin-based film making group, Save The Empire Productions. Their latest release, a comedic short film starring Dennis Haskins and Ed Blatchford, of “Saved By The Bell” fame, is online at www.savedbythebelding.com.
STE is also currently in production on their first original feature length film, a comedy called “W.I.T.S. (Wild In The Streets)”. The trailer for “Wild in the Streets” will be online in 2011.
The guys’ first professional effort, a 50 minute Batman fan film called “Batman Dark Tomorrow” (Summer 2008), was premiered to a sold out crowd of over 300 people, and has since received notable attention online. After “Batman Dark Tomorrow”, they produced the comedic short film, “Lost Heroes: Rod Belding”, a mockumentary on the character Rod Belding from “Saved By The Bell”. This gained the attention of the actor of Rod Belding, Ed Blatchford, who suggested they work together on a sequel. The sequel, “Saved By The Belding” was shot in LA in June 2010.
