Pitch sale: “Untitled Neill Blomkamp Project”

The same outfit that helped fund District 9 has stepped up to back “Untitled Neill Blomkamp sci-fi project”:

“MRC is letting me make the film I want to make, and that is by far the most important thing here,” Blomkamp told Daily Variety. “The film will hopefully be commercial, but it is very much a singular film, (one) that comes directly from me.”

Based on the fact that District 9 cost $30M and has grossed $184M worldwide, MRC probably has a lot of confidence in Blomkamp. And safe to say he’s got a big fan here witness this, this, this, this, this, and this.
