Popcorn Fiction: “Dark as Hell” by Sheldon Woodbury

A new short story from the site Popcorn Fiction hosted by screenwriter-novelist Derek Haas:

I’m a huge fan of Sheldon Woodbury’s short fiction…this is our third time to publish the talented author. He’s written us a couple of hard-boiled noir stories, and now he tackles a bit of a sci-fi concept…while grounding it in his wheelhouse. The title says it all, this one is “Dark as Hell.” The story centers on a government program that makes women who don’t want to have babies care for a toddler. I’ve already told you too much.
