Popcorn Fiction: “DMT” by Les Boehm

Screenwriter Derek Haas announces this week’s short story at his excellent site Popcorn Fiction:

Some exciting news about today’s author. Les Bohem is one of the most popular Popcorn Fiction authors we’ve published…this is his third story. And before it hits the trades, I’ll announce to our loyal subscribers that Bohem’s story, “Honeymoon,” which we ran in two parts last year, was just sold to a major studio with a huge actress attached and some excellent producers. I’m only being vague so I don’t ruin the press release. Les has been hired to adapt the screenplay himself.

This is a thrill for me…when I first set up the site, one of my goals was to have the Hollywood community check in on this new source of original ideas. I pinch myself that it is actually achieving that goal.

Which brings us to today’s story. Les emailed me a little while back and said, “are you ready for something new?” I couldn’t have said “yes” fast enough. This is one of our longer tales, so grab a cup of coffee, lean back in a comfortable chair and start scrolling. “DMT” centers on a student who volunteers for scientific experiments and sees things he’s not supposed to see. It’s an excellent story…I look forward to hearing all of your thoughts!
