Popcorn Fiction: “Gentle On My Mind” by Matt Ward

A special day for one of my favorite sites Popcorn Fiction:

Well, this week marks our two year anniversary and our 89th story to publish on Popcorn Fiction. I seriously can’t believe it. Thank you to all of the readers for making this a memorable couple of years, and thanks to the authors who have entrusted us with their stories. I hope to keep the great fiction flowing for a long time to come!

With that in mind, check out a new story from screenwriter Matt Ward. “Gentle on My Mind” focuses on a private detective chasing after a pair of fleeing lovers. Ward has a great feel for character studies, and it’s evident in this bit of modern noir. I hope you enjoy it and thanks again for your constancy. It means a lot to me.
