Reader Question: What’s the best way to master writing a particular type of dialogue?
From Brady:
Hi Scott,
I’m a huge fan of your blog. I’m finding it extremely useful as I make my second attempt to write a feature-length script. I was looking through your story types, specifically frustration comedy, which I think is the broadest way to define the script I’m trying to write, and I wanted to know if you could suggest any writers who master the awkward, hubristic dialogue as well as Noah Baumbach. He’s kind of one of my writing heroes, and I’d like to see what other writers with similar sensibilities are doing with these kinds of character dynamics.
Thanks and keep up the great blogging!
