MGM acquires comedy spec script “Fairy Godmother” written by Chiara Atik. From Deadline:

The spec is a comic revisionist look at the classic Fairy Godmother tale.

Deal happened as part of a competitive bidding situation.

Atik is repped by WME and Think Tank Management.

By my count, this is the 57th spec script deal in 2016.

There were 52 spec script deals year-to-date in 2015.
