Spec Script Deal: “Northeast Kingdom”

Paramount Pictures acquires drama thriller spec script “Northeast Kingdom” written by Alex R. Johnson. From Deadline:

The story line is being kept under wraps on this one, but we hear that it’s a female two-hander revenge thriller.

From Tracking Board:

The story is a female-driven revenge thriller where a vigilant and determined young woman witnesses the betrayal and murder of her father during a smuggler’s drop. She calls in the help of a mysterious female assassin to seek revenge against all those responsible.

Johnson will also direct. He is repped by Gersh and Zero Gravity Management.

By my count, this is the 57th spec script deal in 2016.
