Spec Script Deal: “Palmer”

Route One Entertainment acquires drama spec script “Palmer” written by Cheryl Guerriero. From Deadline:

…follows an ex-con who returns to his hometown and forms an unlikely bond with a young boy abandoned by his junkie mother.

This is an option deal.

Guerriero is repped by Heroes and Villains Entertainment.

By my count, this is the 63rd spec script deal of 2016.

There were 52 spec script deals year-to-date in 2015.

Spec deals are up 17% this year over last.
