Spec Script Deal: “Scarletville”

Centropolis Entertainment acquires thriller spec script “Scarletville” written by Jason Young. From Deadline:

When a deadly criminal shows up in the deceptively-quiet, small town of Scarletville, a diner owner named Hank must spin a series of dark and twisted stories in order to delay the felon long enough for the law to arrive.

Jason was a recent participant in the 2016 Black List Feature Writers lab and is a Screenwriting Master Class alumnus.

Jason is repped by Paradigm and Circle of Confusion.

By my count, this is the 68th spec script deal of 2016.

There were 53 spec script deals year-to-date in 2015.

Spec script deals are up 22% this year over last.
