Spec Script Deal: “Slayer”

Prime Universe Productions and Marlowe Pictures acquire action spec script “Slayer” written by Joel Dorland. From THR:

The plot centers on a simple fisherman who, when his wife is kidnapped and his village slaughtered, trains for 20 years to become the greatest warrior alive in order to wreak vengeance on the four demonic knights responsible.

The script was featured on the Black List website in 2016. This is an option deal.

Note: I worked with Joel in the 2015 Black List writers lab in New York.

Joel is repped by Good Fear Film + Management.

By my count, this is the 1st spec script deal in 2017.

There were zero spec script deals year-to-date in 2016.
