Spec Script Deal: “Stuber”

Tripper Clancy sells action comedy spec script “Stuber” to Fox. From Deadline:

Fox has acquired for mid-six figures Stuber, an action-comedy spec by Tripper Clancy takes place over one harrowing night in the life of an Uber driver named Stu.

Good to see the majors stepping into spec market again.

Clancy is repped by UTA and Benderspink.

By my count, this is the 17th spec script deal of 2016.

There were 25 spec script deals year-to-date in 2015.
