Spec Script Deal: “ The Infinity Reel”

Paramount Pictures acquires horror spec script “The Infinity Reel” written by Adam D’Alba. From THR:

The story follows a paranormal investigator who’s drawn to a small town that has gone through bizarre phenomena. These instances have an eerie connection with the investigator’s own past.

The screenplay is based on D’Alba’s pilot at eOne, who are in discussions about being involved in the film.

D’Alba is repped by Gersh and Grandview.

By my count, this is the 27th spec script deal in 2017.

There were 25 spec script deals year-to-date in 2016.

This represents a 7% increase in deals this year compared to last.
