Spec Script Deal: “The Leviathan”

Twentieth Century Fox acquires science fiction spec script “The Leviathan” written by Jim Uhls. From Deadline:

Set in the 22nd century, mankind has colonized many worlds and traveling faster than the speed of light has been made possible by the harvesting of exotic matter from the eggs of the largest species mankind has ever seen.

The script was accompanied by a 3 minute short film/proof of concept which went viral last week:

Deal is for a reported mid-six against seven figures.

Uhls is repped by Paradigm and Anonymous Content.

By my count, this is the 21st spec script deal in 2015.

There were 18 spec script deals year-to-date in 2014.
