Spec Script Deal: “The State”

Twentieth Century Fox acquires action thriller spec script “The State” written by Rory Haines and Sohrab Noshirvani. From Deadline:

2oth Century Fox pre-emptively has acquired The State, a spec script by the writing team of Rory Haines & Sohrab Noshirvani. The script is an international action thriller about a father in a desperate race to rescue his son.

Writers made the 2013 Black List with their script “From Here to Albion”.

They are repped by CAA and Oasis Media Group.

By my count, this is the 73rd spec script deal in 2016.

There were 55 spec script deals year-to-date in 2015.

Spec script deals are up 25% this year over last.
