Spec Script Deal: “World Breaker”

Amasia Entertainment acquires science fiction spec script “World Breaker” written by Joshua Rollins. From Deadline:

The sci-fi pic World Breaker is a set in a not-too-distant future where Earth is under attack from creatures from an alternate world, bent on humanity’s destruction. It centers on a father who hides his 14-year-old daughter on an island to avoid her conscription in the all-female army and escape the war, but nowhere is truly safe.

This is an option deal.

Rollins is repped by Gersh and Affirmative Entertainment.

By my count, this is the 29th spec script deal in 2017.

There were 25 spec script deals year-to-date in 2016.

This represents a 14% increase in deals this year compared to last.
