Spec script sale: “F***ing Engaged”

Producer-manager Dan Halsted sets up comedy spec project “F***ing Engaged” from writer Julia Brownell:

Jessica Biel has signed up for some hard-core premarital nookie.

The actress is attached to star in and produce rookie screenwriter Julia Brownell’s original screenplay “F***ing Engaged,” a raunchy comedy about a couple who make a pact to have sex every day leading to their wedding so they don’t turn into their crusty old parents.

Brownell has a background as a playwright and this is her first sale as a screenwriter.

Halsted manages writers Andy Marx and Andrea King who sold the comedy pitch “How Could You Do This To Me” in February. He also set up and is producing “Tenn” with Taylor Hackford to direct.
