Spec Script Sale: “In the Company of Lies”

Sentinel Pictures have acquired spy thriller spec script “In the Company of Lies” from writers Chris and Charlie Frazier. From Variety:

“Lies” centers on a woman who suspects her husband of having an affair, only to discover he is harboring a much darker secret that threatens her own life.

Yet another thriller in a year in which the genre has dominated spec sales.

The Frazier siblings are repped by APA and Affirmative Entertainment.

By my count, this is the 90th spec script sale for 2011.

In 2010, only 55 spec scripts sold.

In 2009, only 68 spec scripts sold.

Spec script sales are up 88% year-to-date over last year.
