Spec Script Sale: “Meet the New Boss”
Chernin Entertainment uses discretionary fund to pick up comedy spec script “Meet the New Boss” from writers Brian Gatewood and Alessandro Tanaka. Per Deadline:
An employee of Capital Properties goes from one jerk of a boss to another, and the new supervisor is even worse because it’s a robot.
By my count, that is the 20th spec script to sell in 2011.
The 20th spec script didn’t sell in 2010 until April 29th, so sales are up year-to-date.
Note: This is the 11th spec script to be acquired in March.
