Warner Bros. acquires action comedy spec script “Murders & Acquisitions” from writer Jonathon Stokes. Per Deadline:

A Wall Street stock broker becomes the target of a hit from a rival firm.

Stokes is repped by UTA and Energy.

By my count, this is the 68th spec script to sell in 2011.

Only 55 spec scripts sold in 2010.

Spec script sales are up 74% year-to-date compared to last year.
