Spec Script Sale: “NSFW”

Universal moves forward with micro-budget thriller spec script “NSFW” from British writers Adam Mason and Simon Boyes. From THR:

NSFW centers on a young paralegal who is trapped in the office with a killer on a mission to destroy files for another corporation.

Contained thriller = micro-budget. Producer is Jason Blum is something of a micro-budget master with the Paranormal Activity franchise under his belt along with Area 51 and others.

Writers are repped by WME and Brucks Entertainment.

By my count, this is the 14th spec script sale of 2012.

Last year at this time, there were 6 spec sales.

Sales are up year-to-date 133%.
