Spec Script Sale: “Rockabye Baby”

Montecito Picture Company acquires comedy spec script “Rockabye Baby” from writer Chris Baldi. Per THR:

Little is known about the family comedy, but it is said to tell the story of an ill-prepared man who is thrust into the care of children — in the vein of Uncle Buck, the 1989 John Hughes comedy.

Baldi is repped by CAA and New Wave Entertainment.

By my count, this is the 52nd spec script to sell in 2011.

The 52nd spec script didn’t sell in 2010 until Novemer 24th.

Spec script sales are up 68% this year.
