Spec Script Sale: “The 13th Man”

Royal Road Entertainment has acquired the thriller spec script “The 13th Man” written by Enio Rigolin. Per Deadline:

The 2010 Black List selection centers on a mail clerk turned code breaker whoʼs thrust into the fledgling C.I.A. to stop an elite squad of Nazi saboteurs from destroying the U.S.

Another Black List script. And another Nazi project. Perhaps Inglourious Basterds has resurrected them as go-to Bad Guys.

Rigolin is repped by Kaplan-Stahler and Heroes and Villains Entertainment.

By my count “The 13th Man” is the 67th spec script to sell in 2011.

Only 55 sold in 2010.

Spec script sales are up 86% year to date compared to last year.
